Place 4 cups chopped rhubarb in a 9” by 9” or bigger glass baking dish. Put a baking sheet under it because it will probably flow over.
In a separate bowl, cream together:
¾ c. sugar
3 T. butter
Then add:
½ c. milk
1 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
¼ t. salt
Beat well and pour over rhubarb. Sift 1 cup sugar and 1 T. cornstarch together and spread over batter. Add 1 cup boiling water. Bake in 375 degree oven for approximately 1 hour.
